Meet Susan Butler

Susan is passionate about good clinical care and committed to considerate and conservative dental treatment, Susan provides highly specialised and dedicated care in first class facilities in Salthill, Galway.She has over 25 years’ professional experience and is committed to continual learning and teaching. Susan travels to dental lectures and courses worldwide. She is fortunate to have as her mentors, some of the most experienced and world renowned specialists in restorative dentistry and prosthodontics.Her considered, careful and ethical approach means every patient is well looked after.
Susan has an interest in occlusal rehabilitation, the restoration of broken down or worn teeth with fillings or crowns and the replacement of missing teeth with dentures, bridges or implants.

Susan is committed to continuous professional development and is a dedicated teacher. She is a part-time lecturer and clinical supervisor at Dublin Dental University Hospital and lectures nationally and internationally to dentists on numerous aspects of restorative dentistry. Susan also runs hands-on training courses and workshops for dentists.

Susan is concerned with the overall health of teeth and gums, and is passionate about preserving and improving teeth. As such she tends to take a conservative approach and prefers not to drill extensively or remove teeth.

  • Completed her Masters Degree in Conservative Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Hospital (UCL) (awarded with Distinction)
